Therese Fokine is a contemporary oil and acrylic painter based in New York whose work explores the quiet beauty of everyday subjects through expressive color, texture, and observation. Drawing on years of artistic study and mentorship, her paintings invite viewers to slow down, look closely, and experience familiar moments in a new way.
She began painting later in life, studying with Lee Hochberg in Yorktown, New York, and later expanding her skills in drawing with Joanne Zwolski and painting with Jeanne DeMotses, whose mentorship helped shape both her technique and artistic confidence.
Therese’s work reflects her belief that art deepens the way we experience the world. Through color, texture, and observation, she invites viewers to slow down and truly look — discovering beauty in everyday subjects and moments.
